In collaboration with the Indian government, the Loseling Library was constructed in 1973. It was inaugurated and blessed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

The Loseling Library has the great privilege of possessing all the scriptures of the Buddha and their commentaries by the great Indian masters which have been translated into Tibetan. The library has all the teachings of Lama Tsongkhapa and his two main disciples and the teachings of many famous Tibetan scholars including Panchen Sonam Dakpa. The library publishes many of these treatises in Tibetan-style book format and modern book format and distributes them all over the world. The library sells these for fifty percent discount to Loseling monks. The library also publishes different books related to politics, Tibetan grammar and poetry in Tibetan, English and Hindi/Chinese.
