Usually, there is an assembly of monastic congregation in the New prayer hall, every year, for the longevity of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and wellbeing of all spiritual Gurus, Lamas and monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery. Today also, conducting the same Puja in the presence of our monastic abbot, Jetsun Lobsang Samten with more than 2 thousand monks in the New prayer hall, His Eminence Geshe Lobsang Tenzin Negi who has always been the most Philanthropic and kind one to Drepung Loseling Monastery as well as a renowned professor of Emori University, was being honored with the award of appreciation for furthering His Holiness vision and outstanding contributions. When conferring the award, the prayer hall was filled with applause and words of praise from all corners. At the time, our monastic disciplinarian, Geshe Lobsang Nyima explained in detail about Geshe La’s outstanding results and contributions. And then, our monastic chief executive, Geshe Jamyang Wangchuk described the brief life story of Geshe La. And again, our venerable abbot, Jetsun Lobsang Samten described Geshe La’s outstanding service for 35 years by leading mystical tour of monastery abroad, founding capital funds for the daily needs of monastery, raising funds during the construction of new prayer hall and new debate yard, establishing Meditation & Since Center and so forth. Essentially, the most effective contributions that Geshe La is making on the field of scientific study in monasteries and SEE Learning is knowingly the noble work of furthering His Holiness vision.
