In order to preserve and promote the great traditions of the past, and also to fulfill the wishes of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to improve the standard of education in the monasteries, the responsible officials of Loseling College requested Professor Samdhong Rinpoche to prepare a draft of an examination system based on the general academic curriculum of Loseling College. Thus, Rinpoche prepared a draft paper for examination rules, taken from both traditional and modern examination systems. Loseling College has an exam committee headed by the Khenpo and its members which include the Lama Zhunglenpa, Disciplinarian and Chabril, Chant Master and some teaching staff. This committee makes all the decisions regarding exams.
