The Tulku Association of Loseling has become more efficient since 1996. It started to receive and organize a number of teachings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama on sutra and tantra discourses. The principal objectives of the Tulku Association of Loseling are: to achieve the aims and objectives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government in-exile and to preserve and promote the rare empowerments, reading transmissions and quintessential instructions.
In particular, the objectives are to document, preserve and promote the empowerments, and to read transmissions and quintessential instructions given by various Gelukpa scholars, especially those of the two great tutors of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. It also looks after the academic and general welfare of young Tulkus by providing all possible facilities so that they can perform extensive enlightening activities.
The Association aims to have close relations between all Tulkus residing in various parts of the world, inside or outside Tibet; to offer guidance regarding how to preserve and promote Tibetan moral conducts in the Tibetan society, as taught in the Tibetan culture and religion; to study the texts of other Tibetan religious traditions; and to exchange knowledge and to have cordial relations between them. In short, it aims to render service for Tibetan religion and culture. The Association has requested His Holiness the Dalai Lama to bestow many transmissions of empowerments, reading transmissions and quintessential instructions of the personal deities such as Guhyasamaja, Chakrasamvara and Yamantaka.
