HOSPITAL OF LOSELING COLLEGE
The Loseling hospital was constructed with funds from foreign countries in 1975. A fifty percent discount on medicines was given to patients and free medical treatments were provided to all patients suffering from tuberculosis and it also gave free eggs and milk to tuberculosis patients.
On December 9, 2002, a new Loseling hospital called Kunphen Hospital was inaugurated and blessed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Since then it has been providing free medical treatments for all the monks and nuns. All the local Tibetans and Indians are given free consultations and are provided with medications and medical check-ups with a fifty percent discount. The hospital has Tibetan and allopathic branches. It also has an editorial branch which provides health awareness through the publication and distribution of medical journals and pamphlets. Every Sunday, the hospital invites experts on kidneys, eyes, nose, throat and skin to the hospital for the Tibetan and local Indian community.
